HOW TO MAKE A BEAUTIFUL PHOTO OF A SOAP BUBBLE?

Soap bubbles create a rainbow mood that is visually pleasing to both children and adults. But when photographing bubbles, difficulties may arise due to their unpredictable behavior. A competent approach and knowledge of the basics make it possible to cope with the situation and create interesting and funny photos. Our photographing rules and tips from experienced photographers on how to make a beautiful photo of a soap bubble may come in handy.

You can shoot bubbles not only as a background or entourage during portraiture, but also as an independent element, using the colorful gradient of the surface of the bubble using a macro lens, as well as various other techniques. We even wrote about one of them – how to photograph soap bubbles in the cold http://fotogora.ru/?page_id=4665

So. First of all, you need to create the subject itself. Due to the fact that the bubbles are short-lived and can quickly burst, glycerin, which is sold in a regular pharmacy, can be added to the solution for creating soap bubbles purchased in the store. Glycerin will make bubbles stronger and give you more time to photograph them.

To create the bubbles themselves, choose a device with which you can blow large enough balls, like a man’s fist. Small bubbles are more mobile and more responsive to the slightest breeze. The large bubble is likely to freeze in the air and for some time will “pose” to the photographer without moving.

Bubbles can be removed from the hands. Pay attention to what is behind you. The background will reflect on the mirror surface. With proper lighting and the subsequent slight increase in contrast during post-processing, you can get interesting pictures where the surrounding landscape or portrait of the photographer will be visible in the bubble.

Try to position yourself in such a way that the released bubble flies against a plain background. An interesting effect can be obtained if a black studio background is strengthened on the surface, and then a soap photo shoot is held. A dark monophonic background will make the bubble gradient brighter, and the reflection on it will be clearly visible.

You can easily remove soap bubbles without helpers. Use a tripod and a camera shutter remote control. Install the camera in front of the background, connect the cable for the remote control. Set the camera to manual mode and select the correct exposure that matches the lighting. You must use a high shutter speed of at least 1 / 200th of a second to compensate for any movement of the bubble. Use burst shooting if your camera supports it.

If possible, use an external flash to brighten the bubble. Light will be reflected in iridescent shades on the surface of the bubble.

First try the basic technique for photographing soap bubbles, i.e. macro shot. As soon as you fill your hand and get the first successful shots, you can expand the boundaries of your experiments, for example, use colored gels or try to capture various images on a soapy surface.

Soap bubbles create a unique holiday atmosphere. Sometimes a large number of them are required. How to manage to get a lot of funny transparent balls and have time to shoot everything? You can give the task to the children, they will help you with pleasure, or use a special device that modern manufacturers of studio equipment offer – a soap bubble generator. With it, you can easily get the number of balls produced at the required speed.

Do not forget a little nuance. Soap bubbles leave marks on the lenses. Before carrying out a soapy photo session, put a protective filter on the lens, then the photo shoot will take place without annoying complications.
